This fall, the Eugene City Council will consider an ordinance prohibiting natural gas in all new low-rise residential buildings beginning next year. While we agree with the Council’s goals to decarbonize our region, this proposed plan could actually make decarbonizing more difficult by saddling Eugene residents with higher costs and less reliable energy options.
As our Community & Government Affairs Manager serving Lane, Benton and Linn Counties, Tony Ramos welcomes any questions, concerns or feedback about the above mentioned city council discussion or other issues impacting our community's energy future. Please send him a message through this form, and he will respond as soon as possible.
